Challenges: The Waffle House relied on a fixed marquee to cover their terrace, but it was difficult to remove and lacked flexibility. They needed a year-round solution that was adaptable, non-invasive, and suitable for their listed site.
Solution: We installed giant telescopic parasols with integrated heating, LED lighting, and drop-down side sheets for all-weather adaptability. Guttering systems and zip-up doors created a fully enclosed space when needed. To comply with listed site requirements, we used heavy-duty weights, portable parasol bases, and trip matting for safe cable management.
Result: The new setup provides a versatile outdoor space that can be adjusted to suit the weather, giving customers a comfortable, inviting dining experience throughout the year. The installation balanced practicality, aesthetics, and historic site sensitivity.
